How long will a commission take:
Fiona cannot give an exact timescale as it depends on the length of her waitlist when you book. Leading up to Christmas Fiona is very busy, so you need to book well in advance. If you have a particular date in mind, please contact Fiona by email asap to make sure she can meet your required deadline.
If you need an urgent commission, Fiona will do her best to accommodate you. If it is too late for a commission, Fiona Dillon Art Gift Vouchers are extremely popular and arrive to the recipient by email.
What photos do you need?
Fiona can only paint as well as the reference photos provided. Fiona needs at least one high quality, up close photo focused on the image you would like her to paint and then a few others so she can get a feel of the personality, eyes, colour and fur texture of the animal. The better resolution, the better the painting- see Photo Guide.
When do you need payment?
Fiona asks for a 50% booking fee to secure your commission space with the full balance payable on approval of your painting.
How will I receive my commission:
When your final payment has cleared, your painting will be carefully packaged flat and shipped using Royal Mail tracked and signed for.
Copyright and reproduction:
As the artist, Fiona Dillon retains all copyrights to works of art. If you wish to reproduce her painting, you must obtain her written permission.
Will my painting appear on your website and social media?
Highly likely! BUT if the painting is a gift, please let Fiona know and she will not show it on her website or social media until the gift has been delivered. Once the gift has been delivered, it is highly likely that Fiona will add the painting to her website gallery. Fiona will also share it on social media so everyone can see what she has been working on!
